Hi! I'm Sara! Welcome!

​Nutrition-Focused Since 2011

I'm Sara, a registered holistic nutritionist and the owner of Sara Lodge Nutrition. I specialize in the Brain-Gut Connection: how the state of your mental health can impact your gut health, and vice versa.

 

In my practice, I help people gain clarity between these two aspects of their lives so they can find a refreshing balance between them. Not only do I provide nutritional science and customized protocols, but also healthy lifestyle practices like meditation and yoga as well as journaling, breath work, and support from myself and others in the community.

 

As a practitioner and as a person, I am compassionate, insightful and kind—and will never sugarcoat the work it takes to make a change in your health or well-being. Of course, this is delivered with love and gentleness.

My goal is to:

- help you feel inspired and empowered when it comes to food

- cut through the health fads and focus on the science

- make healthy living easy and fuss-free with actionable nutrition & lifestyle tips

- help you easily digest information so that you remember it and it sticks with you throughout life

- work with you to get you back to living your best life so that you feel good and confident about yourself

My Experience with IBS

I was diagnosed with IBS, Digestive issues and Food Intolerances at 19 years old.

 

My stress went right to my gut. The bloating was so bad, I always looked like I was 6 months pregnant. Plus, the bloating would make my stomach fart all the time. It was so embarrassing. I found myself not wanting to attend events, parties, dates...anything to avoid that discomfort and embarrassment.

 

I got to the point where I said, "I need to do something about this!"

 

I hit the nutrition books and never looked back.

Training

I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutrition Professionals. I completed my education in 2017, and since that time, I have been working with clients to heal their minds, body & spirit as well as further my education.

In 2020, I completed training through YALE University's Science of Well-Being program, so I implement several strategies from this program in the healing process.

In 2022 I completed my Restorative Yoga teacher training and look forward to starting implementing Yoga as part of my practice. 

My Personal Journey Became a Professional Mission

So my goal now? To help women gain clarity and knowledge on their digestive systems and understand how stress, anxiety & depression is affecting their bodies. I want to drive towards helping people gain success and digestive freedom. I want you to learn from my experiences so that you can spend more time feeling healthy, and confident and less time being bloated and stressing about it.
